So you've probably all seen the pictures of Miss Janet Jackson looking a little...fluffy. I love Janet, she's always so petite and cute, but seriously. She's said before how much she loves good soul food, but I think in her hiatis since the last album and all, she's gotten a little too close to the chow.
Her label, Virgin, who she's been with since the dawn of time, has laid down the law. Her new album is supposed to be out in September, but Virgin is threatening to not release it if she doesn't lose 20 pounds. They've hired her a personal trainer and all.
Now, male singers don't get this much shit. Elton John isn't exactly a twig. Nobody calls up Fat Joe and says "HEY bitch lose some weight!" But when someone like Missy Elliot loses some weight, suddenly she's hella popular. Once again, let's hold up the twigs on a pedastal, maybe some more high school chicks will start binging and purging.
Janet's been in the spotlight now, since she was about 18, right? Let the girl have some damn chicken wings.
Mariah Carey on the other hand, is ugly. (Hee. Just kidding.)
