Robin Williams and Christopher Reeve both apparently went to the Julliard School of Drama in New York City, and got to be very good friends. When Christopher fell ill in 2004, Williams promised him he'd look after his wife and son, Dana and Will. At the time, nobody expected Dana to fall ill with breast cancer and pass away so soon. But she did, and Williams is keeping his promise, and is taking care of 13-year-old Will.
That's great. That poor kid has had so much happen to him in a year's time. My thoughts go out to him.
